“Just arrived home from a two night stay at this beautiful hotel. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and lovely. The food was delicious and the staff so friendly. “I read a lot of good reviews, and was hopeful , and I was not disappointed, this is a fabulous establishment , one big bonus is the excellent Customer Service, Carey and Richard are the Owners , they are so approachable, friendly get stuck in, nothing is too much trouble, Richard is also the Chef and I tell you cooks amazingly. The food is good, wholesome and good size portions which I more than appreciated. I found other Staff really friendly as well especially Rachel who greeted as when we arrived. The Hotel is a little isolated but that is definitely an advantage, you can take a walk into Maldon, through beautiful Countryside passing rivers and locks which will take you around an hour or drive in ten minutes. The room was so cosy and the bed really comfortable. They have a Bar which is well stocked and reasonably priced. You can see the passion they have for their Hotel and their Guests, this was definitely felt with the other guests too. I see this Hotel as a Gem in Maldon and one definitely worth a visit.”
