Comfortable, clean rooms in a 300 year old, Grade II listed house on the river at Langford, run by the same family since 2000.
Choosing a room
We have basic rooms, which share a bathroom, and en-suite singles, doubles, twins and triples. Our family rooms sleep four or five, so a family can stay together in one room.
All rooms have a television and tea and coffee making facilities, and most have pleasant views. Ground floor rooms are available for disabled guests.
Every price includes a full English breakfast, or cereal if you prefer. Breakfast is served from 8am every day. You can also eat lunch or dinner here, and we do a roast every Sunday.
Some rooms are in the old village bakery behind the main house, a red brick building joined to it in the 1980s.

A good base for the Blackwater
Langford is five minutes from Maldon and from the A12 at Hatfield Peverel, 15 minutes from Chelmsford and 25 from Colchester. It suits anyone working locally, visiting family, or coming for the fishing on our own stretch of river.
